Today was Hayley's 1st trip to see the dentist - my cousin, Dr. Julie Lohr! Julie and her family moved back to Sioux City and bought a dental practice this past summer so we decided to become new patients! Hayley had fun brushing the monkey's teeth and sat perfectly during her appointment while she had her teeth examined and cleaned. She was very observant and the hygenists were so sweet and helpful in keeping her happy and calm. I got my teeth cleaned also and heard Hayley say in the next room over to the hygenist, "I tooted".. and the hygenist replied.. "That's ok sweetie, it happens." LOL.. Hayley laughed through her cleaning becasue she thought it tickled! She came over to watch me when she was done and said to me "Laugh mom, it tickles!". She also made sure that I got to wear a pair of sunglasses like she did! She did such a good job with her first appointment - no cavities for either of us! It was fun to see Julie's new office - she is excellent at what she does and one of the sweetest people I know - Her dental practice will be a huge success! I was so proud of Hayley that I decided we would stop for a cookie at Hy-Vee since it was just the two of us - before picking up Hudson - a little celebration with something sweet - don't tell our dentist :)
