We had an awesome "Elmo Party" for Hayley on Saturday, June 2nd. It was a gorgeous summer day and we enjoyed time with family. We had the party at Grandpa & Grandma Kallin's house since we were going to have around 20 people attend. Hayley loves Elmo - she recognizes him and can say "Elmo" so well. I got a few ideas from Pinterest and enjoyed putting things together. Grandma Kayan made the cupcakes from a picture we found online - they turned out absolutely PERFECT and were so much fun to share with everybody. Hayley was a big fan of Elmos' eyes (chocolate M&M's) as well as the yummy frosting. We ordered wings, bread sticks, and pizza from Pizza Hut and ate on the deck. Hayley had fun on the swing set and playing kickball with everyone. She got so many nice gifts - and was so cute opening each one and saying "Thank You". I also helped her hand out her Elmo goody bags - such a doll. I was glad to have so many fun pictures from the night as well as video on the camera. All I could think while everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" is that this is one of those moments that I will always remember - so happy! Also - the fact that we will watch this video someday when we are older and Hayley is older and I will miss these young years with her. It is such a blessing to be a parent. So many fun and happy times to cherish as the days, weeks, and months go by so quickly. A great party to remember - can't wait for more fun birthdays...or maybe I can :) Happy Birthday Hayley!
