The birthday girl had a fun day on Monday after her big party on Saturday! She wore her new "Elmo" PJ's to bed and seems to like them - they are a size 3T so I was surprised they fit! I felt bad dropping her off at Brenda's - mostly because as I was backing out of the driveway I saw her in the window watching me - always puts a lump in my throat. I know she is still young enough not to know or remember but I felt so bad for not being able to spend the day with her doing fun little things for her special day. We took her party hats with us to Brenda's and Brenda got some fun pictures of the kids celebrating Hayley's birthday there - she took along an Elmo treat bag from the party as well. Most of the kids there are younger so I skipped taking treats this year.. maybe next year :)
After work when we were all home Hayley opened her last gift from us... a Sit N Spin!! She loves to run in circles - makes her very giggly so I thought this would be something fun for her and she loves it! We had a simple dinner at home - really simple (Hamburger Helper) and then enjoyed some time outside. Hayley loves her sidewalk chalk and that's what she chose to do - and wants to do every night now- even in the house if she could! We ended the night with vanilla ice cream from SONIC! We love that place- especially in the summer :)
So hard to believe that you are TWO, Hayley! We love you so much and are so thankful that you are healthy and happy! You are so much fun and bring us lots of laughter! Can't wait for all the new things you will experience and discover this year! Love you!!
