We enjoyed Christmas Eve at Grandpa Joe's and Grandma Kayan's in Battle Creek this year. Since I was 36 weeks pregnant it was nice to get out of our house and and be able to keep things in order at our house in case baby arrived early - and it was a treat to spend the holiday with both sides of the family in Ida Grove/Battle Creek. We missed Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Renee at Christmas but were glad to have Great Grandpa and Grandma Hewitt join us. Kayan made a wonderful prime rib meal and lots of Christmas cookies - the house was decorated so beautiful and we had fun exchanging gifts. I ended up going to Christmas Eve mass with Jill, Jarod and Hunter since Dad and Hazel were not feeling the best - hopefully we can all get there together next Christmas :)
