I started a new position and a new chapter with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County on June 1st. I accepted the position of Program Coordinator which means I oversee the programming through ISU Extension for the county and supervise a handful of staff. This was certainly a step in the right direction for me career-wise and an important step for our family also. I received a pay increase and also now receive IPERS since I am a county employee!! I am a little out of my element with the programming being more agricultural - related and unrelated to the nonprofit work I was accustomed to but I am learning to adjust and embrace the changes. The staff have been helpful and welcoming - plus we are building a new office over on Southern Hills Drive that will be fantastic!!! Looking forward to new beginnings and challenges ahead :)
