Hazel is slowly going from baby to toddler and she is just the sweetest!!! LOVE this picture as it captures her sweet little grin:) She now has 6 teeth and is trying a few melt-able solids, baby food, yogurt, ice cream, puffs, and is taking some whole milk (thickened). She is crawling all over and pulling to stand - even taking a few side steps around the furniture. She crawls through her tunnel and plays a lot - she is very happy and content. She has even climbed the stairs! We are working on walking with one hand held and one hand holding something; continuing work on the steps for her motor development, and will begin wearing shoes half time to get her used to those.
Hazel continues to have OT and PT through AEA twice a month and still has follow up care at Sanford in Sioux Falls for her lungs, tube site, and feedings. All is going well. She is wearing 12-18 month clothes - beginning to make more sounds - although all she really says is Mama :)
She goes to bed so easily - usually she is tired enough to just roll over, snuggle up, and fall asleep. She gets her overnight formula drip for about 5 hours so we are up to turn off the pump around 3am each night. She loves her binky - which is OK as it keeps her mouth muscles working well since she doesn't do as much by mouth as most babies. I LOVE holding her and when I give her the binky she lays her head right down on my shoulder and settles in - so sweet.
Dear Hazel - please don't grow up any faster! We are so glad you are well and enjoy you every day :)
