We were lucky enough to have Grandpa John come along to our January 20th check-up in Sioux Falls.
We met with the nurse practitioner from the surgery team to check on Hazel's button site and size. Everything looked great and her weight was up 2 lbs. from our November visit which was impressive! We joked that even Hazel gained some weight over the holidays :) We are able to trial Hazel off of her Prilosec which she has gotten daily since the surgery - we will see how she handles not having it and see if we can be done with it!
Next we had a follow-up with the lung specialist team and Hazel's breathing and lungs are in good shape - less coughing and no current medications so we will revisit both departments in 6 months!
We drove back to Sioux City and had lunch at the Olive Garden which was delicious - even Hazel loved the soup!
Thankful for a safe trip, the great company, and most important - good reports!
