My Hayley Date!

Hayley and I had a date to kick off 2014! It was something I had promised her the whole time I was on maternity leave but it sure proves hard to always carve out that special time. Hayley occasionally brings up Brenda - our sitter from Sioux City - we miss her! Brenda teaches art classes at the Art Center every Sunday so Hayley and I planned our date there. She loved seeing Brenda!!!! She decorated her very own jewelry box. Afterwards we stopped at Kohls where Hayley picked out a new necklace and we ended our date with treats from McDonalds - a latte for mom and hot chocolate and ice cream for Hayley!

While at McDonalds I decided to ask Hayley some questions - a little interview of her thoughts at 3 years old. Her responses were kind of cute!

1) What is your favorite food? Ice Cream
2) What is your favorite drink? Hot Chocolate (note that is what she was eating and drinking!)
3) What is your favorite candy? Tootsie Roll
4) Who is your best friend? Katie - she answered without any hesitation and we hadn't seen Katie recently?
5) What is your favorite color? Pink but used to be Green
6) What is your favorite animal? Monkey but used to be owl
7) What is your favorite thing to do? Make a project with Brenda - how appropriate :)
8) What do you want to do when you grow up? Stretch my arms out - This is hilarious because this is what        Hayley refers to as wearing short sleeves. She hates that mom and dad always get to "stretch our arms          out" but we make Hayley and Hudson wear long sleeve shirts in the winter.
9) What do you love most about summer? Swimming Pool
10) What are your favorite holidays? Valentines and Easter - lucky for her they are the next ones we will            celebrate!

When her interview was over she wanted to interview me - she asked me some of the same questions and then she thought of a few of her own after looking me over and asked "What is your favorite coat, mom?"
