Hazel @ 1 Month!

I wanted to get an update on Hazel on this 2013 blog as she was officially one month old on Christmas Day! She has obviously had a bit of a challenging start in this world being born three weeks early and having her cold and congestion. Here are her stats to look back on as to how little she really is and how she is growing!

One Week: 5lbs, 17.25 inches
One Month: 5lbs. 4oz,  19 inches

At about 3 weeks old Hazel's weight was down to 4lbs 11oz at a trip to urgent care we had due to her eyes being sore and having an infected tear duct. We became concerned and increased feedings to 2oz every 2 hours or so and that got her heading in the right direction. It was determined that due to her size and her issues breathing (RSV symptoms) that her eating was affected and she didn't gain as well as she would have if she hadn't run into those problems. All is going well now and she is starting to fill out - a two month update will be on the blog in a couple weeks!
