TALKING:
Hayley is now 2 years and 3 months old and talking more and more. I wanted to jot down a few things that she says really well now:
- Names of all family: Mom, Dad, Hudson, Sammy, Grandma, Grandpa, Papa, Jill, Mimi, Katie, Jeremy, Renee, Brenda... etc...
- "I Love You"
- "Sorry About That".. we first heard this when she tooted in the car... so funny.. followed by "Excuse Me"
- I ask her every day when I pick the kids up from Brenda's.. "Did you miss me?" She replies, "Hudson miss Daddy", "Hayley miss Mommy.".....
- She knows that Mom and Dad have names too. "Mommy Molly" and "Daddy Josh".
- We probably go to McDonalds a bit too often because she starts saying "French Fries" as soon as she can see where we are!
- She also knows her last name! "Hayley Hew-lett" is how it sounds at this point :)
POTTY TRAINING:
- We have started to work on potty training without much luck at this point. We bought pull-ups and big-girl underpants, suckers, and a big pink poster board and stickers.
- We are trying to make this exciting so we tried on the new underpants when we got home from the store and as soon as they were on Hayley yelled "SWIMMING!!!"... not quite!
- Hayley knows that if she goes potty in the potty chair she gets a sucker - I even took some to Brenda's house - so the last few days I ask her if he got a sucker.. "No sucker Mom".. I have to admit that I know it's going to take a lot of work and I haven't been as consistent as I should be. I keep reading and hearing to just wait so maybe we'll give her a few more months... stay tuned.
