Happy Mother's Day

I had a wondeful Mother's Day on Sunday! I slept in a bit and woke up to Josh baking my favorite breakfast item - Philsbury Cinnamon Rolls - and a frappachino! YUM!!

Hayley used her muscles to bring over my gift to me: A picnic basket!! I mentioned to Josh it would be fun to have a "traditional" picnic basket that has the flaps and a red and white chekered tablecloth. It's not the traditional basket but I love the thought that Josh put into it and it made me smile when he and Hayley brought it over to me. I also got a checkered sheet to take along to spread out on the grass.  I hope to go on lots of picnics this summer with our little family. We went once a few weeks ago to Lief Erison park for a picnic dinner and Hayley loved helping me pack the sandwiches, chips, and granola bars :)

We went to Mass at 9am and then headed to Ida Grove for a cookout at mom and dad's. We had a nice time playing outside and got to see Josh's parents and grandparents as well :) It was a fun day seeing our family. I am so thankful and blessed to be a mom of two beautiful children: Hayley Ann & Hudson James. Sometimes I have to slow down, take a good look around, and let it sink in how happy I am at this moment in time with two kids that are both happy and healthy and a thoughful and loving husband. I am one lucky momma!
