I took Friday off to have a nice, long, four-day weekend for the 4th! I had a timed online accounting test to do and got that out of the way Friday morning, then off to get my hair cut and a manicure :) Josh took a half day and when he got home we headed over to his grandparents to visit and swim in their pool! Hayley loves the water but loves to stay very close to her mama :) Friday night we met my parents downtown for the Sioux City Mardi Gras parade.. had a fun time there.. caught lots of beads and candy, of course. The rest of the weekend we did some more swimming, took naps, enjoyed sleeping in and making breakfast together, and on the 4th we did a few sparklers with Hayley and then watched big fireworks at Josh's aunt and uncles house near Sergeant Bluff.. Hayley got a little nervous but snuggled with me and peeked at the fireworks out of the corner of her eye.. the sound really didn't bother her much. We really enjoyed our family time the entire weekend. We didn't worry about the house projects we are in the middle of, cleaning, or laundry (which was nice at the time but of course still waiting for us :) It was definitely a weekend of fun family time :)
